Jim Blessing is Vice President, Regulatory Policy and Energy Supply for Ameren Illinois. In this role, he directs power procurement, natural gas procurement, regulatory policy & rates, and Energy Efficiency for Ameren Illinois.
Mr. Blessing began his career as a plant electrical engineer at Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Co. and then as a Field Electrical Engineer in General Electric's Power Generation Services division. He joined Union Electric in 1994 and has held numerous positions within Union Electric, Ameren Services and Ameren Illinois on both the electric and gas side of the business.
Blessing earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1984 and a master's degree in business administration from St. Louis University in 1994.
