Ameren is proud of its long history of hiring military veterans, who are interested in working for one of the largest utilities in the Midwest. Service members bring valuable experience to our company and have the skills for specific positions needed in the industry, including nuclear and technical knowledge.

Ameren’s military recruiting strategy includes conducting or attending nationwide events, from base visits to career fairs. Ameren also uses multiple online resources to reach out to veterans. In addition, we provide security and support to our employed reservists and their families, through continued benefits when they are called to active duty.

Because of our offerings, we are ranked as a Top 100 military-friendly employer by G.I. Jobs, a nationally-recognized magazine that helps provide training and career opportunities for veterans.

More than 350 of Ameren's 8,500 employees have served in the military, and we’ve pledged to hire 200 more through the White House’s Joining Forces initiative.
