Grants are limited to organizations in the Ameren Missouri service area.
To qualify for a grant, organizations must be tax-exempt as described in the Internal Revenue Code.
Individuals, political organizations or candidates, and religious or similar groups generally do not qualify for an Ameren Missouri non-profit grant.
Applications less than $5,000
Cover letter that includes the amount of grant requested
IRS determination letter certifying 501(c)(3) status
Applications more than $5,000

IRS Form 990 for most recent fiscal year must be verified and filed

If the grant is for a specific project, provide detailed budget for project, including income and expenses
List of Board members and executive officers, including titles and affiliations
Most recent annual report or other literature summarizing programs
There is no deadline for submitting a grant application, however, applications received after Dec. 1 may be reviewed during the following year. Paper applications and emailed applications are no longer accepted. All grant requests must be submitted via the online application database.
Non-Monetary Contributions
Ameren Missouri also provides limited support to nonprofit organizations in the form of surplus materials, such as office furnishings, computers and other items that have been removed from service. The same
application steps are required for non-monetary contributions.
