Energy Audit Improvements – Natural Gas General Service Rebate Program & Requirements

General Service Energy Audit Improvements

Details

Rebates are available for the purchase and installation of specific gas-efficient equipment and building shell measures. These rebates are available for measures installed upon the recommendation of a qualified auditor performing a comprehensive energy audit at the business. Measures installed are eligible for only one rebate – either through the General Service Audit suggested measure improvements or through the General Service rebate program without an audit. You cannot receive two rebates for the same measure.

Audits must be performed by qualified professional (Registered Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, Certified Energy Manager, or equivalent training, experience and continuing education). Audit procedures and reports must reach the level of effort of a Level II – Energy Survey and Analysis as described in the most recent edition of "Procedures for Commercial Building Energy Audits" published by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers.

Eligible measures include: ceiling insulation, wall insulation, and air sealing measures. See rebate form (PDF) for eligible measures and rebate amounts.
