Once you set up Ameren Alerts, you can rest easy knowing we'll deliver the information that matters most straight to the palm of your hand. On your online Account Dashboard, you can sign up for:

  • Outage Alerts* – receive a notification when power may be off in your area as well as estimated restoration updates, the cause of the outage and power restoration confirmation. You can also text OUT to AMEREN (263736) to report an outage or STAT to check the status of power at your address.
  • Bill Reminders – Receive bill due date and past due reminders.
  • Important Account Status Updates – Receive an alert when immediate action is needed on your account.
  • Payment Confirmations – Receive an alert to confirm receipt of your payment.
  • Energy Assistance Pledge Posted – Receive an alert when your account is granted
  • Start & Stop Service - Receive alerts when your request to start or stop service has been completed.

  • Weekly Cost Summary – Receive weekly alerts that include bill estimates based on your usage for your current billing cycle.  
  • Cost Threshold – Receive an alert when your energy costs exceed the threshold you've established for your account.  
  • Usage Threshold – Receive an alert when your usage exceeds the threshold you've established for your account.
  • Weather Alerts for GDS-5 and DS-6 Customers – Receive an alert the day before the average temperature is expected to be 25 degrees or below in the winter or 78 degrees or higher in the summer.

  • Electric Cost Threshold – Receive alerts when your costs reach 75% and 100% of the amount you've established for your account.
  • High Usage – Receive an alert to let you know when you exceed your typical daily consumption.
  • Seasonal Rate Change – Receive an alert before rates change for the season, and tips to help you use less energy.

No Late Night Alerts

By default, we do not send alerts between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. If you prefer not to receive notifications at a particular time of day, you can set personal Do Not Disturb settings on the Alerts page of your Account Dashboard.

At any time, you can text STOP to AMEREN (263736) to unsubscribe from ALL Ameren Alerts. To unsubscribe from specific alerts, simply log in to your Account Dashboard.

Manage Alerts

Text OUT & STAT

You can easily report an outage at your address by texting OUT to AMEREN (263736). To check the status of power at your address, text STAT to AMEREN (263736).

Do Not Disturb Feature

In the Alerts Center on your Account Dashboard, you can schedule certain times of the day to be in "Do Not Disturb" mode, meaning you will not be interrupted by your alerts. By default, Do Not Disturb mode is activated from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
