Ways to Enjoy the Lake
Overlook
Kiosks provide information about the Lake and Bagnell Dam. One of the original turbines used to power the dam's electric generators is also on display.
Bagnell Dam
Ameren Missouri has developed a fish and bird observation area in partnership with the Missouri Department of Conservation. The area is located along a walkway leading to the Osage Energy Center's main office on the downstream side of the Bagnell Dam.
Historic Willmore Lodge
Perched on a hillside north of Bagnell Dam, this historic 1930 house is one of the Lake's best free attractions. Enjoy an interactive museum on the Lake's history and natural resources. Ameren Missouri leases this property to the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce for use as a visitor center.
