The New Start Energy Relief Program offers up to $1000 to reestablish service, and my be used for past due bills, late pay charges and bill amounts associated with unauthorized use. No deposit is required, and after connecting with an agency, further assistance in applying for other assistance programs like LIHEAP and Weatherization can help manage future energy bills.
To qualify for this support you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You are an Ameren Missouri customer with previous electric service
- You have an outstanding bill, which may include late pay charges
- You have been unhoused or spent time in a shelter in the past year
