In a crisis? LIHEAP provides federally funded assistance to help families manage energy costs.
Keeping Current
A payment assistance program that includes a monthly bill credit, along with help to reduce the total amount you owe.
Keeping Cool
This program provides up to five bill credits of $50 from May through September. Check eligibility to see if you qualify.
Dollar More
Funded by voluntary customer and company donations, the Dollar More program offers up to $600 per calendar year in assistance.
Weatherization Assistance
This program provides energy-saving home improvements at no cost for qualified homeowners and renters.
New Start Energy Relief
If you have experienced homelessness and are seeking permanent housing, we offer relief from past-due balances.
Clean Slate
Have a past-due balance? Clean Slate clears past-due balances to eligible customers can start fresh.
Veterans Energy Assistance
Active-duty military, veterans and their families can receive up to $600 when they face challenges paying their utility bills. Call 211 for more information.

Warm Neighbors Cool Friends
Warm Neighbors Cool Friends (WNCF) is a year-round assistance program to help those who generally do not qualify for financial assistance from other government or non-profit programs. Eligible households can receive up to $500 for this heating season.
Income Eligible Status
Ameren Illinois residential customers who meet the requirements of an income-eligible customer will have deposits for new service and late payment charges waived.
